How to use LifePilot — organise, remember, and manage everyday life
Welcome
LifePilot helps you organise important parts of everyday life in one place: tasks, reminders, expenses, bills, subscriptions, important dates, notes, journal, goals, home items, vehicles, and more.
Everything is stored on your device. No LifePilot account is required to start using the app.
Getting started
- Install LifePilot and open it — you can start immediately.
- Allow notifications when prompted so reminders can fire on time.
- Use Quick Add on the Home tab to create your first task, expense, or note.
LifePilot works fully offline for normal use. Internet is only needed for optional Google Drive backup (Pro) and store subscription operations.
Dashboard & Quick Add
Home shows what needs attention today and upcoming items for the next few weeks.
- Tap a card or list item to open the related record.
- Use the + button for Quick Add shortcuts.
Tasks, reminders & follow-ups
Tasks
- Add a title, priority, due date, notes, category, and optional recurrence.
- Mark tasks complete when done; swipe or use delete to remove (soft-delete).
Reminders
- Set a date and time; LifePilot schedules a local notification.
- Repeat options help with recurring check-ins.
Follow-ups
- Track a person, subject, due date, status, and notes so conversations don’t get lost.
Expenses, bills & subscriptions
- Expenses — log income or expense with amount, date, category, and notes. View a simple monthly summary.
- Bills — name, amount, due date, frequency, and reminder.
- Subscriptions — provider, cost, billing frequency, next billing date, and active/cancelled status.
Dates, notes, journal & goals
- Important dates — birthdays, anniversaries, events, and custom dates with yearly recurrence.
- Notes — text notes with categories, tags, and search.
- Journal — dated entries with optional photos.
- Goals & habits — track progress, frequency, and streaks.
Documents, home & vehicles
- Documents — the Document Vault (Pro) stores PDFs and images with expiry reminders.
- Home — appliances and items with purchase and warranty dates.
- Vehicles — registration, insurance, service dates, and odometer notes.
Large files are stored as attachments on your device, not inside the database. Backups can include them.
Notifications
LifePilot uses local device notifications — not a push server.
- Keep notification permission enabled for reliable reminders.
- On Android, allow alarms / exact alarms if your device asks, and avoid aggressive battery restrictions for LifePilot.
Backup & Google Drive
- Create a local LifePilot backup file from Settings → Backup & Restore.
- Restore only after confirming — restore replaces your current local data.
- Google Drive backup and restore are Pro features and upload to your Drive folder (LifePilot), not a developer account.
Free vs Pro
LifePilot is one application. Free and Pro are entitlements inside the same app.
- Free — core modules with sensible limits.
- Pro — higher limits, Document Vault, advanced search & reports, export, Google Drive backup.
If Pro expires, your local data is not deleted. Free features keep working; Pro-only features become unavailable until you renew.
Privacy
LifePilot is local-first: no LifePilot login and no LifePilot cloud sync for everyday data. See the full Privacy Policy.

- Use Quick Add when you only have a few seconds.
- Keep the app updated from the store for fixes and improvements.
