Privacy Policy

Overview

LifePilot (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a personal life management assistant that helps you organise tasks, expenses, bills, reminders, documents, and related everyday information. LifePilot is designed as a local-first app: your everyday data stays on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information is used and how.

Information we collect

• Content you create in the app — for example tasks, notes, expenses, bills, journal entries, goals, home/vehicle records, and document metadata.
• Attachments you add — such as photos, receipts, or PDFs stored as files on your device with metadata in the local database.
• App settings — preferences such as notification or security options you configure.
• Device permissions data — such as notifications, photos/files, or biometrics when you grant them — used only for those features.

LifePilot does not require a LifePilot account, does not operate a LifePilot cloud backend for everyday sync, and does not sell personal data.

How we use information

• To provide app features such as lists, reminders, summaries, search, and reports on your device.
• To schedule local notifications when you enable them.
• To create backups you request, including optional upload to Google Drive when you connect your own Google account (Pro).
• To process subscriptions through Google Play or the Apple App Store when you purchase Pro.

Google Drive (optional, Pro)

If you enable Google Drive backup, LifePilot communicates directly with Google using your authorization. Backups are stored in a folder you control (typically My Drive / LifePilot). LifePilot does not upload your data to a developer-controlled Drive account.

Google OAuth tokens are stored using the device’s secure storage mechanisms, not as plain fields in the app database.

Subscriptions & store services

Purchases and subscription status are handled by Google Play Billing and/or Apple StoreKit. Those platforms process payment information according to their own privacy policies. LifePilot does not run a custom payment gateway or LifePilot billing server.

Sharing

• We do not operate a LifePilot backend that receives your tasks, expenses, notes, or attachments for everyday use.
• Optional Google Drive and store billing services receive only what is required for those features you choose to use.
• We may disclose information if required by law if we ever receive a valid legal request related to the service website or store listing.

Permissions

• Notifications / alarms – optional; for reminders and due-date alerts.
• Photos / files – optional; to attach images or documents you choose.
• Biometrics / device lock – optional; to protect opening the app on your device.
• Internet – for optional Drive backup/restore and store subscription operations.

Denying a permission does not crash the app; related features show guidance instead.

Data retention

Your LifePilot data remains on your device until you delete it from the app or uninstall the app. Uninstalling LifePilot removes locally stored app data according to your operating system’s normal behavior. Backups you placed in Google Drive remain in your Drive until you delete them; LifePilot does not automatically delete your Drive files when Pro expires.

Children

LifePilot is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through our contact channels, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
